A lot of people suffer from knee pain – this can be linked to a variety of different factors (previous injury, weak supporting muscles, lengthened ligaments & tendons due to hyper-mobility and poor core strength which places weight on the knees).
Many suffers report an improvement in their knee pain when adopting an exercise programme that strengthens the supporting muscles around the knee cap and shortens the muscle fibres (which leads to a decrease in the movement of the ligaments, providing less knee movement).
For those of you who struggle with some exercises that effect your knees, I have put together a handy guide for some alternative exercises. Naturally, they depend on the limitability of your knee, so they are not suited for everyone – take care and caution when working-out – you should not feel pain in your knees when exercising!
